PMS review.
Problem:
Practices within a CCG would be destabilised by a forthcoming PMS review in a CCG with mixed contracts and high levels of income variation.
Our role:
Our multi-disciplinary team of medical accountants, practice managers and GP leads worked with practices to create financial forecasts and an operating plan to re-design how they deliver their services so they could remain sustainable within their financial envelope.
One of our learnings from previous assignments supporting practices was to engage the whole practice team so they understood the challenges and could pull together as a team to change the way they operated.
Outcomes:
Financial plans for all in-scope practices with aligned operating changes
No practices were adversely affected in the long-term
